Situated on the ground floor of The Julian Apartments in Downtown Orlando's Creative Village, The Monroe is an expansive 8,000-square-foot dining and gathering destination created by the Good Salt Restaurant Group. Drawing inspiration from local civil rights pioneer Dr. William "Monroe" Wells, the airy, midcentury-designed venue encompasses a main dining room, bar, lounge study, semi-private spaces like the Swan Room, an outdoor backyard patio, and the Front Porch covered patio overlooking Luminary Green. Operating as a vibrant social hub, it welcomes neighborhood locals and downtown visitors throughout the day, starting with daytime coffee bar service before moving into lunch, weekend brunch, happy hour, and evening dinner. Led by Executive Chef Nikk, the kitchen focuses on modern American comfort food and nostalgic childhood favorites, highlighted by their famous fried chicken served with brown butter-maple relish and Calabrian chili aioli alongside signature burgers and seasonal entrees.
