Aku Aku is a tribute to one of the greatest eras in Tiki, the 1960’s. The Stardust Casino in glitzy Las Vegas opened its doors in 1958, and soon after, it opened the Aku Aku restaurant. With its beautiful tropical decor and its two Monolith Moais out front, it was the place to be, and the place to be seen. Here in Orlando, we have a perfect tribute in the Stardust Lounge with its wonderful Retro vibe and classic drink menu, and the Aku Aku tiki bar. Aku will transport you to a tropical paradise of bamboo and thatch and its meticulously made tropical libations. One of the most important ingredients to true tropical escapism is a good drink and a good setting. Here at Aku, a great pride is taken in delivering you a proper cocktail. So after you choose your drink of desire, sit back, put down that phone, and spark up a conversation with a stranger or take in all the glorious decor and items on the shelves. Sunday at Aku Aku Turn your Sunday market stroll into a full-on tropical escape at Aku Aku Tiki Bar. Every Sunday, we take the party outside and set up our outdoor bar right alongside the farmers market. From 11am–3pm, grab an Aku Aku cocktail, settle in for some live music from Adam Moreno, and enjoy a rotating lineup of local food vendors serving up something delicious. We’ll be shaking up all your Aku Aku favorites alongside Sunday brunch classics, including mimosas and Bloody Marys. Shop the market, grab some food, sip something tropical, and let the Sunday afternoon roll on.
